Aluminum spout pouches are widely used in the food, beverage, chemical, and daily chemical industries due to their excellent barrier properties, leak resistance, and portability. To ensure they maintain optimal performance until use, careful management during transportation and storage is crucial. Improper handling can not only affect the pouch's appearance but also reduce its sealing and barrier properties. The following details the transportation and storage precautions for aluminum spout pouches.
1. Moisture and Humidity Prevention
Although the aluminum spout pouch's material is somewhat waterproof, prolonged exposure to humidity can still cause moisture to the sealed edges or laminate, compromising the seal strength. During transportation and storage, keep the pouch in a dry environment and avoid direct contact with the ground. Use a pad or moisture-proof mat to isolate the pouch from moisture.
2. Protect from High Temperatures and Direct Sunlight
High temperatures can soften or deform the pouch's heat seal, while ultraviolet rays from sunlight can accelerate ink fading and material degradation. Therefore, avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures or sunlight during transportation. It is recommended to store in an environment with a temperature of 5°C-30°C and a humidity below 50%.
3. Prevent Heavy Pressure and Compression
Although aluminum spout pouches have a certain degree of mechanical strength, they are still relatively soft before filling and can easily develop creases, indentations, or even nozzle deformation due to heavy pressure or improper stacking. During transportation, use appropriate outer packaging and stack in layers to avoid excessive stacking. During storage, maintain an appropriate stacking height to reduce deformation caused by long-term compression.
4. Prevent Chemical Contamination
Aluminum spout pouches are sensitive to chemicals such as oils and solvents. Contact with these substances may cause the laminated layers to separate or the printing to peel off. During transportation and storage, keep away from oils, corrosive liquids, and chemicals with volatile gases.
5. Adequate Storage Period
Even under optimal storage conditions, the performance of aluminum spout pouches will gradually deteriorate over time, especially the heat sealability and print color. Therefore, it's recommended that the aluminum spout pouch be used within 6-12 months of purchase to avoid performance degradation due to prolonged storage.
During transportation and storage, special attention should be paid to protecting it from moisture, heat, heavy pressure, chemical contamination, and storage cycle management. Only by strictly adhering to these precautions can the product be kept in optimal condition during actual use, providing reliable protection for the package's contents.
