Although quality spout pouch is convenient, sealing performance is also important. When designing a quality spout pouch, the performance and thickness of each layer of material should be fully considered to obtain sufficient barrier performance. There are two common methods to test the sealing performance of quality spout pouch as follows.
1. Anhydrous bubbling method.
The quality spout pouch is usually applicable to the packaging whose performance of the outer material will obviously decrease under the action of water during the test, such as the outer paper material packaging.

2. Vacuum capsule observation method.
The applicable materials for quality spout pouch are the same as above. The pressure difference between the inside and outside of the sample is generated by vacuuming, and the sealing performance of the sample is judged by observing the capsule expansion and the recovery of the sample shape after the vacuum is released.
