However, improper storage can lead to quality problems such as oxidation, brittleness, delamination, and poor sealing in even high-quality foil aluminum bags, affecting subsequent packaging performance. Therefore, proper storage is crucial for extending the lifespan of foil aluminum bags.

Foil aluminum bags should be stored in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment. Although aluminum foil material has moisture-proof properties, prolonged exposure to high humidity can cause the laminated material to absorb moisture and degrade its performance, thus affecting its overall barrier properties. The ideal storage humidity should be maintained between 45% and 65%, and it should be kept away from water sources or steam equipment. Simultaneously, the storage temperature is recommended to be controlled between 15 and 30°C to avoid high temperatures causing adhesive aging and composite layer peeling.

Before sealing, moderately preheating the sealing area can improve the heat-sealing effect and reduce sealing defects caused by moisture. At the same time, the operating area should be kept clean to prevent dust or oil from affecting heat-sealing stability. For foil aluminum bags stored for more than six months, it is recommended to conduct sampling inspections before use, including observing for delamination, wrinkles, pinholes, and decreased sealing performance.
